Mrs. McCarthy’s ASL classes were in the library this week learning the importance of facial expression while signing. Students practiced signing about their families and then sat in front of web cameras and recorded themselves signing. Mrs. McCarthy was able to save each recording and will grade it later. This use of the web cameras to record each student’s work is a very creative use of technology! Great going Mrs. McCarthy!
Another English class is working on their research paper. The students are comparing ancient Greek heroes with modern-day heroes. They are using a variety of print sources, online databases, and the internet to gather information.
The Book Club is reading The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. The Book Club will meet after the winter break. Listen for the announcement.
Happy reading!
